This Morris Chair at first view appeared an easy, quick fix. However after stripping the finish a number of joints showed up loose and needed re-gluing, their were also a few fissures in the wood that needed attending too. The ironmongery was all tarnished and the brass hinges and screws needed cleaning, polishing and straightening. A lot of sanding was done to the many parts and the chair was finished with two coats of polyurethane varnish.
