This is a set of four saman dining chairs, with a seventy year history. The aged finish was completely removed and splits in the wood grain had to be repaired. Cyano-acrilic glue and PVA Wood glue was used to make the repairs. One joint was loose and repaired, then the chairs were all sanded by machine and hand using 60, 150 and 320 grits sandpaper. Then three coats of Polyurethane Satin Varnish was applied. The grain and true colour of the wood leaped out on completion as compared to the what is was before.
