This Saman Coffee Table required a complete disassembly as all joints had failed and the table top was out of square and bent, bellying or bow-shaped. The table top bow was straightened and braced for added strength, and joints and edges were cleaned and prepared for re-gluing. The edge corners of the legs and cross bars were rounded over to conform to the rounded theme of the table and to improve the final product. After sanding the final coating of polyurethane satin varnish was applied in three layers.
