These four chairs are part of a set with table. The first thing to be done was strip away the old varnish finishing on each chair, and then every weak or failed joint on each chair had to be separated where necessary, cleaned and re-joined. One chair was completely disassembled, another chair was 3/4 disassembled. Then came the sanding of every part and then the reassembly, following which was the finishing coat of polyurethane varnish.
